Hoos is a design and lifestyle store located in Glasgow's West End, just across from the beautiful Botanic Gardens. We stock a unique curation of goods from iconic Nordic design houses to handmade, local wares made here in Scotland and beyond.
We feel passionately about simple and functional design that stands the test of time, so each product that you purchase will become part of your personal story. Each product reflects our values and individual aesthetic, exceeding in both quality and style.
Our online store is a carefully curated selection of some of our most popular products. We carry larger items and furniture in our Glasgow shop, as well as one-off pieces and shop exclusives.
Founded In 2016 By Karen Harvey
Karen returned home to Glasgow to open HOOS after living and working in Suffolk for 30 years in the charity sector where she was awarded an MBE for her work with vulnerable children and families.

“I was brought up in Glasgow and my parents used to buy our furniture from the Danish Design Centre. They had a modest flat but it was a really comfortable and - now I know - stylish home! I love the quality and functionality of Danish design, hence I decided to focus on Danish Brands. Simplicity is usually the key and of course designers in Denmark have produced some of the most iconic design classics which are still on top of everyone’s list to this day.”
